(Assistant) Purchasing Manager

Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Purchasing Manager to join our team, specializing in the Robotics and Small Home Appliance industries. This role involves the strategic sourcing of new products and suppliers, supplier relationship management, and ensuring compliance with purchasing policies and regulations. The successful candidate will leverage their expertise to optimize purchasing strategies and enhance supplier performance.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct searches for new products and suppliers, including industry surveys and supplier field survey collections and analyses.
• Create purchasing plans, review requirements, and manage material requisitions, selecting appropriate purchasing methods and suppliers.
• Manage supplier relationships, establish performance standards, and assess supplier performance to meet company requirements.
• Negotiate with suppliers on pricing, payment terms, and contract agreements, including NDAs.
• Resolve contractual disputes and take emergency actions as needed.
• Monitor raw material market prices and industry trends, sharing insights with the team to improve cost efficiency.
• Identify alternative materials and suppliers for purchased goods.
• Prepare and enhance purchasing department procedures and management documents.
• Address and resolve issues related to incoming material quality and quantity.
• Ensure all purchasing actions comply with relevant policies, regulations, and ethical standards.

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience in the Robotics or Small Home Appliance industry.
• Strong knowledge and experience in electronic products, manufacturing processes, and EE components purchasing.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
• Team-oriented, self-motivated, and capable of working independently.
• Background in supplier quality, project management, and mechanical and electrical engineering.
• High work ethic and adaptable attitude.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in English, both written and oral; skilled in office software like Excel and Access.

Travel Requirements:

• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
